Top Bars & Nightlife in Grand Rapids, MI
when you need a night without any fuss:
Bobs Sports Bar
725 Michigan St NE, Grand Rapids, MI 49503
We can say that all the bars on Michigan Street are reserved holes in the walls (again, in the most pleasant way). And it is true. However, there are times when you need to wait for a table in Bersh or choose a standing room only in Logans. In Bob's Sports Bar you are car service airport transportiond a place, the pool is usually open, fatty food gets to the point, and waiting staff makes hard drinks, without waiting for the waiting. Easy peasy, lemon creak. For more information on Bob's glory, you can check out the version of the beer O-Clock GR, made by a resident drunk chick, Ben Bredger. Want to watch the big game with all your friends? Hire a Grand Rapids party bus and head over to Bob's!
Pub 43 (closed)
43 Division Ave S, Grand Rapids, MI 49503
In the center of blocks and blocks of boiled beer, dance clubs and overpriced restaurants - pub 43. Pub 43 makes you feel at home with board games, hard drinks and friendliness. Parking can take a second or a few dollars, but it's worthwhile to sit and spend a relaxing night, play in some pool, shuffleboard and see some people. Oh, and shuffleboard! You can read the review of Beer O'Clock Pub 43, if you want.
1132 Burton St SE, Grand Rapids, MI 49507
The last chance is on the verge of being thrown back so that it's almost like a booze at home, but with the cast of characters from the Southeast side, brighter than your boring family. The last chance is in Burton Heights, and they have nothing fancy - it's all better. They have cheap drinks and bar meals. And although one day one of the waitresses told us to "get off", she was drunk, quit, and the rest of the staff more than made up for it. If you are looking for drinks at night with a bunch of southeast sidereals, and this is so, "Last Chance" is your place.
1418 Plainfield Ave NE, Grand Rapids, MI 49505
Rezervoir Lounge is the old Sazerac, and not everything has changed, except that the loud dance music is gone. They have a comfortable atmosphere, friendly staff and plenty of space. Space means no waiting tables. The food is really, really good and inexpensive. And on Wednesday they hold euchre tournaments. It's almost like spending a night, but so, much better. A large parking lot makes your life easy if you have a limousine or are driving from outside the Creston quarter.
600 Monroe Ave NW, Grand Rapids, MI 49503
This bar became my idea of a "sophisticated" night. Do not get me wrong, you do not need to dress, park or spend a lot of money, but something about the atmosphere and the menu makes me put on real pants. They have a fun cocktail menu, and dinner options are a bit unusual, but tasty and inexpensive. Enjoy this bar on a date with someone else who wants to lay the background. In addition, if you like to drink in the morning, this place is a football bar in GR. And since it's early, pajamas are completely legal (in our opinion).
