The Cambodian style temple is in Stockton and was actually constructed by volunteers who still maintain the property today. As with similar temples, there are ornate and beautiful statues, arches, and other breathtaking décor throughout the grounds.

Visitors to Manteca who are interested in seeing and learning more about wildlife and natural habitat of the region will find what they are looking for at the San Joaquin National Wildlife Refuge. Here guests can view various local species living in their natural habitat. One of the first things to make note of in this natural area is the stunning scenery. Included in that scenery is a beautifully-maintained grassland and wetland area. A few of the residents of The Refuge you will see on your visit here include, Aleutian cackling geese, sandhill cranes, and Riparian brush rabbits – the most endangered animal in the state of California. Visitors can also enjoy a nature walk along the four-mile Pelican Nature Trail. The Trail is actually home to a free-roam exploration area. For a better view of the refuge and its fields and grasslands, visit the Beckwith observation platform. The San Luis NWR Complex Visitor Center and Headquarters feature a variety of exhibits about the area and local wildlife. All in all, a day spent here is one that is both fulfilling and educational.
